Renewable energy is a separate major area of energy that combines the use of solar, wind, water, as well as biomass and biogas.
The main difference between renewable energy and other types is that energy sources are not destroyed during use, such as coal or peat, which we are actively extracting to generate energy now, but are gradually replenished or, in general, completely restored naturally.
The development of renewable energy is of great importance for the future of humanity, because combustible minerals will sooner or later be exhausted. According to some reports, in just 100 years, coal, peat and oil deposits may run out completely. Therefore, the development of renewable energy is a key issue for the world today. And by 2040, it is planned that up to 40% of the world's electricity will be generated from alternative sources.
However, in addition to the depletion of the earth's subsoil, there is also an environmental reason why it is necessary to switch to renewable energy sources, since environmental pollution by harmful emissions and production waste has already reached its peak.
In contrast, renewable energy sources are safe for the environment, their use does not have a negative impact on nature.
The production capacity of installations in the world that operate on renewable sources is 1/4 of the total amount of energy produced at nuclear power plants. If we compare the development of electricity from alternative sources in 2004 and today, its amount has increased by more than 50%!
More than ten million people around the world use energy installations that operate from renewable sources. And more than 25 million people in rural areas use biogas and solar installations for cooking.
